I used to have a diary when I was in my teens, and later a blog where I mostly uploaded fan art and weird ramblings of my school days. It's been a couple of years since then and I think it's time to write once again, but using my non-native language. I'm from Guadalajara, México, and recently moved to Los Angeles, USA, after I got married. I love getting to know new places, new people, new food, new experiences in general! So I want to document and share all the things I'm getting to see here in California through the eyes of excitement only children and drunks have these days.

Mind you, Mexico is not that different from here, that's not the reason I find things exciting around California, but rather the air of getting to explore a new place filled with all kinds of things to learn. For example, this week's adventure was learning how to send a letter through USPS; yes, post office people, I'm an adult who's never sent a letter in the US and you need to tell me exactly which stamp I need to get, and don't even get me started on how weird it is to file taxes in this country. But those are stories for some other time, or hopefully never.

To sum it up, expect spot highlights, reviews and recommendations! And some food recipes from time to time.

So my adventure (at least publicly) begins today!
